Keep your signaling systems up to date and performing well
Maintaining systems in operational condition
Signaling systems require continuous attention to remain efficient. For any assistance or advice needed, our experts remain at your service to ensure the proper functioning of the signaling systems we have installed.
Whether it is a modification, an evolution, an adaptation to a new environment or a new operating system (OS), we are here to support you.
We offer services and contracts to maintain your railway signaling supervision systems in operational condition.

Obsolescence treatment
The equipment that makes up a system ages and may no longer be available on the market. This is called obsolescence. In the event of a breakdown, your signaling system may remain out of service.
To avoid this, SNIC SIGNALISATION offers effective solutions to deal with obsolescence and keep your systems up and running and safe. Our experienced team in the field of railway signaling is here to help you find suitable solutions.
We act at different levels to manage the obsolescence of your equipment:
- Audit to assess the current state of your systems
- Supply of equipment for the replacement of obsolete components
- Custom or turnkey work and testing operations.
We take into account your operating constraints for each intervention, guaranteeing a tailor-made approach.
Examples of obsolescence treatment
Safety automatons and calculators
Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and safety logic controllers (SLCs) are essential for managing both the safe and non-safe parts of signaling systems.
Over time, they may become obsolete.
We intervene at night or during periods of non-operation, depending on the size of the signaling systems, to replace them with new equipment.
The intervention is transparent for the operator.
Bulb railway signals
Railway signals equipped with traditional lamps require frequent interventions to replace defective lamps.
We propose to migrate these signals to LED technologies, thus offering a more sustainable solution requiring less maintenance.
This migration not only improves signal reliability, but also reduces maintenance interventions.
Cables
Cables age too!
Signaling cables, subjected to hostile environments (water-filled paths, presence of rodents, etc.) undergo degradation over time.
We offer the replacement of signaling system cables with associated testing for the safe return to service of the system.
Cabinets, boxes and signaling equipment
Signal cabinets, boxes and other equipment installed on the track are subject to aging and deterioration.
We take care of the treatment of the obsolescence of this equipment, on the track and in the substation, by replacing them with modern and robust solutions.
Track circuits
We replace obsolete racks and track circuit boards with new generation racks.
We also work on the track to renew all the equipment that makes up the track circuit.
Card and rack replacement operations are carried out in operation with the installation of a remote rack (Y-shaped) to ensure continuity of operation without interruption.
This intervention is transparent to the operator.
For equipment located on the track, we carry out replacements during periods of non-operation: at night or during periods of operational shutdown.
